Elyse Slabaugh is a 2024 graduate of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University (BYU). As a BYU undergraduate student, she worked at the International Center for Law and Religion Studies (ICLRS) and became interested in attending law school and becoming an advocate for religious freedom. During her studies at BYU Law, Elyse was a Research Fellow for the ICLRS, served on the ICLRS Management Board and Executive Committee, and participated in three international moot court in law and religion competitions. She has also worked with several other FoRB organizations, including the IRF Secretariat, Global Peace Foundation, and Bellwether International. Upon admission to the state bar, she plans on working as an associate at Smith & Downey, P.A., in the firm’s labor and employment division.
